2022 is the 20th years of no return to Japan

The year 2022 has begun.

It’s funny how the end of December brings with it the start of a new year and a new feeling of renewal.

I left Japan on the 24th of March 2002, so 2022 will be exactly 20 years since I went abroad.

Unforgettable departure from Japan

Japan left Japan on the 24th of March 2002, from Shimonoseki in Yamaguchi prefecture to South Korea on Kampu ferry, a usage for which I had received from friend a ticket.

That time I thought “I could go around the world in about three years”

It’s been getting longer and longer till now.

The world is wide

At first I thought I would just go around the world, but once you visit an unknown country, it takes a long time just to get out of one country, and if it’s a big country, a few months will fly by.

So it took me two years to get to India, and another year to get to Everest, and so on.

Street art

I started doing street magic as a way to cover the costs of travelling.

It was originally a hobby, but I was delighted to see the people I performed them to on the streets of different countries giving me tips and even more delighted to see them laughing at me.

Until then, travelling was a consumption activity for us, and we were always on the receiving end of people visiting us, but this art has allowed us to give something back to the local people.

And I will try to do my best to do better tricks.

The world is a big place, and the world of this kind of art is also very deep and interesting.

This is where the time is again spent.

20th anniversary

　It’s 2022 and I’ve been going from one place to another on the streets of Europe.

　As I mentioned before, I left Japan in 2002, so 20 years have passed.

　Really?

But it’s not a time machine that has suddenly passed me by, I still have memories of my days.

　However, when I think back, it may be an exaggeration to say that it all happened in a flash, but it did.

　If the last 20 years have gone by at this pace, then the next 20 years will also go by at this pace, and perhaps even faster.

　I think we need to move while we can.

　So in 2022, I want to move as much as I can.
